Vaults
S&F vaults are ERC-4626 vaults (SFVault) that accept a specific kitchen token as the underlying asset.
Mental Model
- You deposit kitchen tokens into SFVault and receive vault shares
- A strategy stakes the underlying into a yield source
- The rewards contract is where you stake vault shares to earn rewards
Where Funds Live
SFVault is the entrypoint and accounting layer. Underlying assets are routed into the strategy, which holds them (typically staked in an external protocol).
Why ERC-4626?
ERC-4626 standardizes vault behavior (deposit/mint/withdraw/redeem), improving compatibility across the DeFi ecosystem.

Strategies are managed entirely by the protocol. No configuration or manual action is required from users.
Profit Unlock
Harvests cause sudden value increases. S&F uses a profit unlock mechanism that releases gains over time, preventing "deposit right before harvest, withdraw right after" attacks.
